Indeed it has 3 months of no news, no news at all it's like living in the arctic wastes and not unlike Good Friday 1930 in England for the BBC News. An announcer came on and said, "Ladies and gentlemen, there is no news tonight, so here is some music."
But that's ridic— . . . I mean, local papers have to deal with no news every week! They still write the paper every week.
My favourite ever, the Sheffield Star had a headline: "Worksop Man Dies of Natural Causes".
Yes, but thats all very misleading, things have been happening in DG but with the slow down that i'm sure everyones been feeling, from LOTRO itself ("Low-trow" for the american members and "Loh-trow" for those from the BBC) well we've kinda let the news slip a little, and as i said things have been happening just the headlines....er..haven't!
But things have been happening...such as:
Forgetting how to play a flute
Questionable activities in lehma koti
er...goat abuse
And darloth fleeing the murder scene while remaining a person of interest.
Now for a spot of irony, last time we updated with Hypo-bel, er toad, and congradulations to him becoming leader of DG. Well in the News' absence that honour has past on once more, this time to Darloth (*Dartanin* -FUT) may he bring balance to the force and not engage in pod racing or annoying CG creatures!
I'm sure he has many a new idea and i'm told one of them is stripper poles in the kin hall so.....hmm
Also you'll spy a few new officers around the place so show them some respect (except for Leg, throw veg at Leg...) as i'm sure they've all got your best interests in mind (except for Leg...he'll sell you to the Orcs - remember Veg lots and lots of veg!)
Turtle raids, Instance runs, book runs and PVmP events are appearing on the calendar all the time, so don't forget to sign up!

Gary Here, also sorry for the lack of news updates, first I'd like to say welcome to all the new guys who have joined recently, there are lots of events on the calendar so get signing up. Also remember you can put events up there yourselves.
Congratulations to Darloth (Dartanin to you new people) on becomming the new sucker...er Leader of DG. All Hail Dar!!
Lastly just want to say comiserations to Tinny as her entry in the Eurovision song contest got knocked out in the semi final.

OK i'm back, when i come back from a long stretch of no news i like to start with a long hard stare.
mmmmm.
right anyway - All glory to Hypno-toad!
Crap i mean Bel Dar! Belnoreth Darloth, all glory...er Congratulations, to bel dar.
May your leadership of DG not leave you scarred for life!
With book 7 on the horizon, changes are coming our way, i know a lot of people felt a little cheated by moria they gave up a lot and what they got in return didn't cover it, be that in way of crappy legacies, poor endgame content, dull dull moria, heavily uneven PVmP, hobbit restriction orders and sub par character identification.
Well as i understand it, the book is bringing change to a lot of these things - Character changes in way of tweaks, overhauls and re shuffles in skills legacies etc, A new 12 man multi boss raid, Actual lothlorien (not just an elf by a tree....a rude elf too. It's like "yeah screw you too buddy...i just had to kill the watcher what the feck have you done other than make sweet sweet love to this tree?!"...sorry just...really hate that guy), an attempt to balance out PVmP (we'll see about that), the timely removal of hobbit rights: ie restriction orders!  ! and hopefully a more defined role for classes in fellowships.
Now i know that’s a tall order, and yeah they messed up a lot but hey at least they're taking steps to fixing it.
I'd also like to make a small mention that on Sunday February 1st 2009 Seksi was blessed with a son, now normally i'd make a joke or something here but i can’t not at this it's too perfect a moment Ahh....unless of course it turns out to be half hobbit then..that'd be....yeah...
anyway Congratulations go to you Seksi may your son lvl swiftly and learn all his skills well!

Hello guys, been a while since we updated the news. Lets see, Congratulations go to Soft Monkey Disco King (Bel Dar to those of you who don't know him like I do) on becoming the new leader of DG. Leading this rag tag bunch of psychos, nymphos and just plain hos is no easy task, so good luck.
Watcher raids are running pretty smoothly now, DG is farming his arse at least twice a week and more and more people are getting their full armour sets. Plenty of junk is dropping and we have a third raid so if you want to fight the watcher and have at least 4 of your Rad armour then sign up now and start kicking tentacle ass (if tentacles actually have asses).

Hello, another news update. This weekend DG downed the watcher twice! That's right a second raid has been formed and we kicked Mr Slimey tentacles butt! Most of us did it in dresses and silly costumes I hope that hurt the watcher's pride being kicked in the face by a champ and a cappy in dresses (my dress was prettier Madhy!) Much thanks go to Khurin for all his help, we really could not have downed the watcher without your help, your advice and your great spirit keeping us going. I would also like to thank Rarin and Dabba for all their help and advice leading up to this raid. Lets hope next weekend we can down it three times!

Yes we were the most ridiculously dressed raid that has, to date, taken down the watcher.
I'd like to go through and thank everyone separately that helped us do this but this isn't a What we're up to news page it's a DG news page so just know that i'm really proud of you all.

Well howdy DG!
I know i know two news in 1 week what are we CNN?
After the initial watcher defeat there’s been many interested in giving it a go, and rightly so!
This is a quick News announcement that a 2nd watcher run is up for this Saturday and a 3rd will be up shortly.
Now having said that there are still people who need to get their 6 bits of armour, Fear not for there’s still instance runs going on. If you need a bit and there’s not a run up for it on the calendar let an officer know, can't say they'll drop everything and charge through the instance screaming but if they're free and can get a team together you've a much better chance then shouting for a PUG group in LFF!
